CDRS Projects

Vocational training, education and community service that turn relief into a livelihood for women and young people across Pakistan.
Relief keeps a family alive. A livelihood keeps a family standing. Alongside our emergency and healthcare work, CDRS runs long-term programmes that give women and young people the skills, the education and the opportunity to support themselves and, in time, to support others.
Widows and mothers at the House of Blessings learn baking, tailoring, computer skills and craft work, and are helped into employment or into starting a business of their own. Children and young people in our care receive schooling, career counselling and the practical support they need to finish it.
CDRS Youth brings volunteers into the field alongside our teams during relief missions, medical camps and distributions, building a generation of Pakistanis who know how to respond when their neighbours need them.
Empowering youth and women through education, economic opportunity and community service is written into the CDRS mission, and it runs through every project on this site.
