Making History for Animals

The CDRS Benji Project for Animal Welfare & Rescue supports struggling shelters and rescuers in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Charsadda, Abbottabad, and Wah, as well as deploying our own CDRS YOUTH Chapters for animal welfare and rescue as well as public awareness and education campaigns in support of animals.

The Benji Project is making history by deploying Pakistan's first national fleet of animal rescue vehicles and opening Pakistan's very first facility dedicated to trap, neuter, vaccinate and release programs (TNVR), and have begun collaborating with concerned citizens and officials at all levels of government to implement TNVR programs.

We are also planning to build a world class animal welfare institute with a world-class animal sanctuary and veterinary facility for dogs, cats, donkeys, and horses, a world-class veterinary medical facility. Let your animal-loving friends all around the world know that we need their help to make this beautiful vision a reality.

Who is CDRS?

Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) is a non-profit charitable organization registered in the United States and Pakistan for disaster relief and development work. CDRS responds to human suffering in emergencies and disasters, serving Human Beings regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, location, religion, color, or background.

CDRS has led disaster relief missions in Haiti, Japan, The Philippines and The United States, and has operated primarily in Pakistan since the devastating 2005 earthquake. CDRS Founder Todd Shea has also responded to 9/11 in New York, Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the tsunami in Sri Lanka and before founding CDRS in Pakistan.

In addition to our emergency relief efforts during or after natural or man-made disasters, we also work on long-term health relief programs such as health system support and rehabilitation, support to special patients, mother & child health, youth community service, and women’s empowerment.
